Located in the bustling heart of New York City’s Theater District, Becco is an Italian restaurant and bar that masterfully delivers a dining experience rich in authentic flavors and genuine hospitality. Celebrated for its distinctive “All You Can Eat” pasta offering, Becco invites guests to embark on a culinary journey through Italy’s beloved pasta traditions. Their signature Daily Trio of Pasta serves as a testament to their dedication to freshness and variety, featuring enticing dishes like Linguini with Clams, Farfalle with Tomato Basil, and the richly textured Roasted Beet Ravioli, each exquisitely prepared to highlight their unique sauces and textures.
The menu reads like a love letter to classic Italian cooking, from the savory depths of Osso Buco Alla Becco to the comforting richness of Parmigiana Di Pollo. Sensory delights continue with starters such as the Antipasto Misto and the bread basket paired with olives, setting the tone for the flavors to come. For those craving something hearty, the Black Angus Ribeye and Hanger Steak offer a satisfying contrast to the pasta-centric offerings. And of course, the dessert selection — boasting Apple Strudel, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Cannoli, and an irresistible Dessert Sampler — rounds out the meal on a sweet, indulgent note.
Becco’s atmosphere complements the vibrant flavors on the plate. The space exudes a warm, inviting ambiance that balances casual comfort with a touch of refined elegance, making it a favored spot for both locals and visitors alike. Though some patrons have noted a slight stuffiness toward the back of the restaurant, the attentive service and convivial vibe more than make up for this minor detail. Many diners appreciate the efficient and personable staff, who ensure that the flow—from seating to savoring each dish—is smooth and pleasurable.
The bar deserves a shout-out as well, with a carefully curated wine list that makes for perfect pairings. Affordable options such as the Vini Di Bastianich and Italian Vino Bianco and Rosso showcase Italy’s rich wine heritage, while the reserved selections from Piemonte, Veneto, Toscana, and Marche regions cater to more discerning palates. The bar setting encourages social interaction, as one guest recounted striking up a conversation with a regular who has frequented Becco for over two decades — a testament to the establishment’s loyal following.
What truly sets Becco apart, beyond its menu, is its ability to blend quality, creativity, and value. Guests like the Crawleys appreciate how the restaurant “hits all the notes,” delivering an experience where service, atmosphere, and price align perfectly with the delicious food on the table. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick, satisfying lunch with friends or a leisurely dinner showcasing Italy’s culinary jewels, Becco leaves a lasting impression — one where each pasta bite and sip of wine echoes the warmth and passion of Italian dining.

What a find! As someone who travels and eats all over the world, it’s hard to find a restaurant that can sing all the notes. The service, ambiance, and of course the food has to be good. At the same time the price point has to be commensurate to the experience. Becco hits all the notes. Their unique spin on their 3 pasta dishes we found unique and fun. The food all was delicious and priced to make you feel you were having a treat but not needing to take out a home equity loan to cover it. We had three courses, (meatball starter, hanger steak, veal picante, and chicken parm, with the three pasta special, and brownie with ice cream to finish). Add in the wine and drinks and we found everything delightful. I’m not sure when I will be back in NYC but when I am, I plan to return to Becco.
Excellent food. Fast service. Be sure to have a reservation. Calamari was excellent and so was every other dish we had. Servers were personable. Service was very fast we were in and out in an about an hour.
I tried the three-pasta dinner special at Becco. The antipasto that came with it was delicious, and while the pastas were good (not great), the pumpkin ravioli stood out as the clear winner. I sat at the bar, where the bartender was very friendly, and ended up next to a gentleman who’s been coming here for over 20 years. It really felt like a local favorite, with lots of return customers giving the place a welcoming, neighborhood vibe. The meat dishes I saw going by looked fantastic — I didn’t try them this time, but I suspect that’s where Becco really shines. Overall, it’s a lively and popular spot with a loyal following, worth visiting for the atmosphere and sense of community as much as the food.
Becco is always excellent. I've taken many out of town guests for lunch or dinner but my husband had never visited. We went for lunch and had calamari, lasagna, branzino and tiramisu.
Becco’s signature pasta trio was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was great and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. That said, the back of the restaurant felt a bit stuffy with limited airflow, making the atmosphere less comfortable. With some improvement to ventilation, this would be an easy 5-star spot.
Wonderful, authentic experience. Food was great! I was there with my coworkers after a conference. We had enough space for 15 at our long table and the room was quiet enough for us all to talk. Definitely a place to come back too if opportunity comes up.
